Meet Tina

Counselor, mother, wife, sister, supervisor, friend, and eternal seeker of all things healing.  Tina has a  Master’s Degree and Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling Psychology from James Madison University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and School Counselor with the state of Virginia.  Tina’s passion for counseling and learning has been focused in her work with teens, children and families for over a decade.

Integrative Counseling Services is located in Winchester, Virginia.  There, Tina offers a soothing place to heal, in her 1780s cabin location, planted right in the heart of the city.  Along with traditional counseling theories and techniques to include person-centered, cognitive behavioral, solution focused and systems work,  she provides her clients with a holistic approach to healing, offering play therapy, children’s therapeutic yoga, expressive arts, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, guided imagery and relaxation exercises to bring balance and integrative wholeness to their lives.  She also lends services to children and families affected by autism through her work as a consultant and supervisor of behavioral therapy services, at Lutheran Family Services (LFS).

Tina feels priviledged to have connected with countless children, adolescents and families throughout the years and loves nothing better than to see people find what they need to thrive.  She feels there is no greater honor than to witness the story of others and that every life story, is indeed, worth a novel.   She has a special affinity for work with children, adolescents, women and mothers.

When not spending time trying to make the world less painful for kids, she can be found outdoors in nature, chasing waterfalls, hiking the great outdoors and finding beauty wherever she goes.
